Introduction verse for 2008/2009 Semester 2
The sun is in my heart,
He warms me with his power.
And wakens life and love
In bird and beast and flower.
On the earth I stand upright
With joy I greet the morning sun
Who shines with love on every one
Who shines in the sky, on the land and sea,
And who fills me with light
When he shines on me.
Good morning to you
And good morning to me.

The Story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Goldilocks. She went for a walk in the
forest. Pretty soon, she came upon a house. She knocked and, when no one answered, she walked right in.
At
the table in the kitchen, there were three bowls of porridge. Goldilocks was hungry. She tasted the porridge from the
first bowl.
"This porridge is too hot!" she exclaimed.
So, she tasted the porridge from the second bowl.
"This porridge is too cold," she said
So, she tasted the last bowl of porridge.
"Ahhh, this porridge is just right," she said happily and she ate it all up.
After she'd eaten the three bears' breakfasts she decided she was feeling a little tired. So,
she walked into the living room where she saw three chairs. Goldilocks sat in the first chair to rest her feet.
"This chair is too big!" she exclaimed.
So she sat in the second chair.
"This chair is too big, too!" she whined.
So she tried the last and smallest chair.
"Ahhh, this chair is just right," she sighed. But just as she settled down into the chair to
rest, it broke into pieces!
Goldilocks was very tired by this time, so she went upstairs to the bedroom. She lay down in
the first bed, but it was too hard. Then she lay in the second bed, but it was too soft. Then she lay down in the third bed
and it was just right. Goldilocks fell asleep.
As she was sleeping, the three bears came home.
"Someone's been eating my porridge," growled the Papa bear.
"Someone's been eating my porridge," said the Mama bear.
"Someone's been eating my porridge and they ate it all up!" cried the Baby bear.
"Someone's been sitting in my chair," growled the Papa bear.
"Someone's been sitting in my chair," said the Mama bear.
"Someone's been sitting in my chair and they've broken it all to pieces," cried the Baby bear.
They
decided to look around some more and when they got upstairs to the bedroom, Papa bear growled, "Someone's been sleeping in
my bed,"
"Someone's been sleeping in my bed, too" said the Mama bear
"Someone's been sleeping in my bed and she's still there!" exclaimed Baby bear.
Just then, Goldilocks
woke up and saw the three bears. She screamed, "Help!" And she jumped up and ran out of the room. Goldilocks
ran down the stairs, opened the door, and ran away into the forest. And she never returned to the home of the three
bears.

One, two, three, four, five,
Once I caught a fish alive,
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
But I let it go again.
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so.
Which finger did it bite?
The little finger on the right.

A little wish and that is that,
A little sun, a little shower,
A little while and then a flower.

Waldorf Songbook 1 Step we gaily
Step we gaily on we go
Heel for heel and toe for toe
Arm in arm and row on row
All for Marie's wedding
Over hills up and down
Myrtle green and bracken brown
Past the shielings through the town
All for Marie's wedding.
Waldorf Songbook 21
The golden sun is shining bright
The dew is off the field
To us it is our main delight
The fork and rake to wield
The pipe and tabor both shall play
The viols loudly ring
From morn till eve each summer day
As we go hay-making.
Waldorf Songbook page 14
Down in the valley
Where summer's laughing beam
Under the willow tree
Lights along the stream
Shepherds come driving
Their flocks and seek the pool
Plunging their sheep
In the sunny water cool.

Come for a run by the silver sea,
Come in the sunlight with me, with me,
The sands are beneatht he sky
More silver above them the seabirds fly.
Let us go running away together
All in the spray flying, windsighing weather.
The Whitsun Daisy Flower … Good morning when it's morning. Good night when it is night. Good
evening when it's dark out. Good day when it is light. Good morning to the sunshine. Good morning,
little morning white flower. … Once there was a little white
flower in the meadow. Her name is ‘Daisy’. She wants to fly. She wants to run. But she can not. Her roots grow into earth. They hold her there.
One day she hears singing: … I see skies of blue..... clouds
of white Bright blessed days....dark sacred nights And I think
to myself .....what a wonderful world. … The daisy raises
her head and sees a bird / a white dove sitting on a branch above. “Bird, bird!,”
says the little daisy, ”How beautiful you are. I am trapped here on the earth. I
have no legs. I have no legs to run with. I have no wings. I have no wings to run with. I have
no friends. I have no friends to play with. I have nothing to do in the world.” “No.
You are a flower”, says the dove. "You are a child of Father Sun and Mother Earth,” "You have to hold a gift, a golden treasure, a tiny flame from Father
Sun. You can share with the bees and butterflies. Wait for me.
I will fetch it and bring it to you.” The white dove flies into the sky. … How do you like to go up in a swing, up in the air so blue? O, I
do think it is the pleasantest thing ever a child can do. Up in the air and over the wall, till
I can see so wide, Rivers and trees and cattle and all over the countryside. Till
I look down on the garden green, down on the roof so brown, Up in the air I go flying again,
up in the air and down! … Soon the dove returns. He is carrying
in his beak a tiny flame, a golden flame from Father Sun himself. The dove gently lays the tiny
flame. Suddenly, the flower opens, shining, sparkling. There appears a heart of brightest gold
among her petals. "Bees, bees! Butterflies, butterflies, Come to me! Come to me!". … Here is the beehive. Where are the bees ? Hidden away where nobody
sees. Watch out and you will see them coming out... 1..2..3..4..5.. … At Whitsun, the flowers unfold, yellow, white and gold. The wind
blows ever round and round, Sending us the fire, holy flame of fire. … Spirits of fire, come to us! We will kindle a fire! Spirits of fire,
come to us! We will kindle a fire! We will kindle a fire, dance the magic circle round. We
will kindle a fire, dance the magic circle round.

Let your hands so loudly clap, clap, clap,
Let your fingers loudly snap, snap, snap,
Then fold your arms and shut your eyes,
And quiet be.
